Hi, I’m Danielle Abbott.
Back in 2013, I was managing finances for a living, but behind the scenes, things felt shaky.
We had a new baby, more debt than we could handle, and a deep sense of shame I didn’t know how to talk about.
Even with an accounting degree and a background in finance, the shame had me ignoring our finances — so they couldn’t get better.
What I learned from us digging out of that hole, slowly and imperfectly, with a lot of trial and error, is that being “good with money” isn’t about knowing all the right answers. It’s about having tools and support that actually fit your life.
Now, that’s what I help others build.
I work with self-employed women, especially those in helping and healing professions, who didn’t necessarily plan to run a business but found themselves here.
They’re smart and capable. They care deeply about their work. But when it comes to money, they feel overwhelmed, behind, or like they’re missing something they should know by now.
That’s exactly where I come in.
With a background in accounting and leadership roles in the nonprofit sector, I bring both financial expertise and a deep respect for the real-life challenges women face when trying to manage money while running a business, raising a family, and living a full life.
Since 2017, I’ve worked as a financial coach helping women simplify their money, build systems that work for the way they think, and start feeling good about their finances again.
I believe financial support should feel accessible, non-judgmental, and actually helpful. Once you understand your money and have a plan, the relief is immediate. And the long-term impact is life-changing.

My Family
I live in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia with my husband, Nathan, our three kids, and our dog, Benji.
Life is full and lively with three little ones in the mix. We spend most of our time juggling work, family life, and the daily chaos, but we make space for the things that fill us up — weekends at the family cottage, half-finished house projects, and the cherished moments we can find with people we care about.
